Mango-Tango

A favorite with children for the sunny color and for the little tingle on the lips! Mango Tango is an energizing smoothie for all ages. With just six ingredients you can make it in minutes in a blender. This drink stimulates digestion, is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and contains fiber, essential oils, flavonoids and anti-oxidants. Mango Tango is a good source of vitamins A, Bs, C & E, it is good source of minerals potassium, copper, calcium, magnesium, zinc and manganese. The essential oil in the ginger root is helpful for eliminating E.coli induced diarrhea, and is especially effective for children. At our home we blend this smoothie mainly in the summer, but when the family’s energy is low I bring this one to the table and Mango Tango is greeted with a smile!

Mango Tango

Attributes:  raw, vegan, dairy free and energizing, kids favorite
Equipment:  blender
Ingredients

2 Ataulfo mangoes, skinned & pitted
1/2 banana
1/2 tsp fresh minced ginger root (1 tsp if jarred)
1-2 T maple syrup
2 fresh mint leaves
1 C water
                                         

Directions:  blend all ingredients until smooth. Add ice cubes to make juice cold if serving right away. Sweet and refreshing!”
                                 

Optional:  Adding more ginger root will fire up this drink.
                                               

Tips:  Stimulates digestion, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial. This smoothie is a good source of vitamins, A, B, C & E, potassium, copper and other trace minerals. Delicious!
