Unlike processed chocolate that has lost most of its nutrients and anti-oxidants, raw chocolate has impressive benefits! 11% of a raw cacao bean is protein, namely glutamine, leucine and arginine (coveted by bodybuilders), 16 % is fibre, 54% essential fats (great for hormones, cell wall integrity and nerve transmission, and arterial health), the remaining percentage is made up of flavonoids and proanthocyanins, vitamins Bs and E, and trace minerals manganese, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, and copper. Raw chocolate improves digestion, circulation, blood pressure, vessel integrity, protects against free radical damage from normal metabolism and environmental toxins. Components of raw chocolate elevate the mood and relax the nervous system. Chocolate Milk

Attributes:  raw, vegan, dairy free, relaxing                                                      Equipment:  blender
Ingredients

2 heaping T raw cacao powder
1/2 C raw hazelnuts, soaked overnight, rinse several times
1/2 C raw cashews, soaked 20 minutes or overnight
2 T hemp seeds
1 small piece vanilla bean
3 T melted raw honey
1/2 ripe banana
Pinch of Himalayan salt
2 C filtered or spring water
10 ice cubes
                                        

Directions:  Blend all ingredients, except ice until smooth & bubbly; add ice cubes and blend. Pour into glasses, garnish and drink immediately for a refreshing treat!”
                                 

Optional:  For a little something extra shave organic chocolate on top. Can be gently warmed to serve hot. Do not boil, heat at 118 degrees F or less.”
