Ginger root is known for its anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial properties, as well for it’s anti-nausea effects and high anti-oxidant strength. Fresh ginger root has healing essential oils intact that stimulate digestion and function as an effective painkiller, high in B vitamins, manganese, magnesium, copper (for red blood cell formation) and potassium. That’s just the first ingredient. With a blender and a juicer this recipe can be whipped into your glass, tingling on your lips and tongue in record time! Enjoy on ice or as is.

Equipment: juicer, blender
4 pieces ginger root, thumb size
4 golden delicious apples, cored
1 lime, peeled
10 tangerines, peeled
½ tsp cayenne powder
10 ice cubes
Directions: Juice the first four ingredients. Pour juice into a blender with last 2 ingredients and blend to crush ice. Pour and serve in a glass of choice with a slice or lime, tangerine or chile. Serves 4-6.
Optional: To create a bubbly taste sparkling water can be added just remember to add more ginger and cayenne.
Tips: Cayenne pepper improves circulation. Both cayenne and ginger are helpful with digestion.
